🐟European sea sturgeon
유럽철갑상어(European sea sturgeon, 학명: Acipenser sturio)는 대서양철갑상어 또는 일반철갑상어로도 불리며, 유럽을 원산지로 하는 철갑상어의 일종이다. 과거에는 개체 수가 많았으며 유럽 전역의 연안 서식지에서 발견되었다. 특히 흑해와 발트해까지 도달한다. 이 종은 회유성 어류로 강에서 번식한다. 현재는 절멸위급종으로 분류된다. 발트철갑상어(Baltic sturgeon)라는 이름이 사용되기도 했으나, 현재 발트 지방의 철갑상어는 북미 대서양 연안에 제한적으로 서식하는 대서양철갑상어(A. oxyrinchus)임이 밝혀졌다.
