🐃Nilgai
닐가이영양 또는 닐가이(nilgai, 학명: Boselaphus tragocamelus)는 가장 큰 아시아 영양이다. 인도 중부와 북부 지역의 잡목 숲이나 농경지 등에서 흔히 발견되는 야생 동물이다. 수소를 닮은 수컷의 겉모습때문에 푸른황소(blue bull)로도 불린다. "닐가이"(nil gai 또는 nilgai)는 인도에서 "푸른"(blue)을 의미하는 "닐"(nil)과 "소"를 의미하는 "가이"(gai)의 합성어에서 유래했다. 네팔 남동부와 파키스탄 동부 지역 일부에서도 발견된다. 현재 방글라데시에서는 멸종 상태이다. 무갈시대 아우랑제브 치세 기간에는 "닐고르"(nilghor, 닐(nil)="푸른"(blue), "고르"(ghor)="말"(horse))라고도 불렸다. 닐가이영양속(Boselaphus)의 유일종이다. 천적은 아시아사자, 호랑이 다.
