Hamerkop (Scopus umbretta) ya da çekiç başlı, çekiç başlı leylek, leyleğe benzeyen orta büyüklükte suda gezerek avlanan bir kuş türüdür. Uzun gagası ve kafasının arkasındaki sorguç şeklindeki tüyleri çekice benzediğinden dolayı bu adla anılır. Afrika'da Madagaskar'dan Arabistan'a kadar olan bölgede haliçler, göl ve akarsu kıyıları, kayalık sahiller gibi çeşitli su havzalarında yaşar. Göçmen olmayan ancak mevsimsel olarak yerel yer değişikliğinde bulunan hamerkop yöresel olarak Afrika ve Madagaskar'da yüksek popülasyona sahiptir ve korunma durumu asgari endişe altında türler arasındadır. Boyu ortalama 56 cm, ağırlığı ise ortalama 470 g'dır. Monotipik Scopidae familyasının monotipik Scopus cinsinde sınıflandırılır.
