🐊Gharial
Hint gavyali (Gavialis gangeticus), gavyal de denir, Gavialidae familyasının yaşayan iki üyesinden biridir. Diğeri ise Malaya gavyalidir. Yayılım alanları Hindistan, Bangladeş, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan ve Myanmar'ı kapsamaktadır. Myanmar'da tükenmiş olabilir. En çok İndus Nehri, Brahmaputra nehri, Ganj nehri ve Mahanadi nehirlerinde bulunurlar. Uzun ve dar bir yapısı olan ağzının balık yakalamak için olduğu sanılmaktadır. Gavyal, tuzlu su timsahından sonra dünyanın en büyük timsah çeşididir. Yakalanan en büyük gavyal 7 m. uzunluğunda idi, ama normalde uzunlukları 5 metreyi geçmez.
