🐈Flat-headed cat
Yassıbaş kedi (Prionailurus planiceps), kızıl-kahverengi kürkü olan küçük vahşi kedi türüdür. Başı uzun, kulakları yuvarlaktır. İnce gövdesi 41 ila 50 cm, kuyruğu 13 ila 15 cm uzunluğunda, 1.5 ila 2.5 kg ağırlığındadır. Yassıbaş kediler, ilk olarak 1827 yılında Sumatra'da toplanan bir zoolojik örnek temel alınarak tanımlanmıştır. Tayland-Malay Yarımadası ve Borneo'ya özgü bir türdürler. Nehirler ve kıyı bölgelerinin yakınlarında tatlı su bataklıkları gibi sulak alanlarda yaşarlar. Başlıca balık, kurbağa ve kabuklu canlıları avlarlar. Yassıbaş kediler, yerleşim yerleri, tarım plantasyonları için yapılan dönüşümler nedeniyle yaşam alanının tahribatı nedeniyle tehdit altındadır. 2008 yılından bu yana IUCN Kırmızı Listesi'nde tehlike altındaki türler kategorisinde yer almaktadır.
