Conger conger (Linnaeus, 1758)

Mığrı (Conger conger), Congridae familyasından yılan balıklarına benzeyen sadece denizlerde yaşayan balık türü. Vücut uzun silindir şeklinde olup, yılana benzer. Derisi kaygan ve vücut küçük pullarla örtülüdür. Rengi yaşadığı ortamın rengine uygundur. Sırt ve yanları gri, sarı ile karışık yeşilimtırak, karın kısmı ise kirli beyazdır. Sırt ve anüs yüzgeci kuyruk yüzgeci ile birleşmiştir. Yan çizgi sırtına paralel olarak kuyruğa kadar uzanır. Yılan balıkları gibi bir defa yumurta döker ve sonra ölür. Büyüklüğü ortalama 100 cm dir, maksimum 300 cm olur. Maksimum ağrlığı 65 kg dır. Atlas Okyanusunda Norveç ve İzlanda'dan Senegal'e kadar olan sahil şeridi yaşam yerleridir. Sığ yerlerde yaşarlar 1170 m derinlikte de görülebilirler. Ayrıca Akdeniz ve Karadeniz kıyılarında da yaşamlarını sürdürürler.
