🐱Caracal
Karakulak (Caracal caracal), kedigiller (Felidae) familyasından vahşi bir hayvan türü. Dış görünümü ile vaşağa çok benzeyip step vaşağı, Mısır vaşağı gibi adlarla da anılmış olsa da daha sonraları moleküler DNA çalışmaları ile, tamamen farklı bir tür olup Afrika altın kedisi ve serval ile yakın akraba olduğu gösterilmiştir. Orta Asya, Ortadoğu ve Afrika'da yaşar. Asya ve Kuzey Afrika'da sayısı azalmakta ve soyu tehlikede türler arasında kabul edilmekte iken Orta ve Güney Afrika'da tehlike görülmemektedir. Türkiye'de Güney Toroslar, Konya Havzası ve Güneydoğu Anadolu'da yaşadığı sanılan Caracal caracal, Türkiye'de ilk olarak 2002 yılında biyolog Batur Avgan tarafından görüntülenmiştir.
