Prionace glauca (Linnaeus, 1758)

Pamuk balığı (Prionace glauca), harharyasgiller (Carcharhinidae) familyasından bir köpek balığı türü. Diğer bir adı da Mavi köpek balığıdır. Sürü halindeki küçük balıkları yiyerek beslenir. Ortalama boyu en fazla 2–3 m olmasına rağmen, büyüklüğü 4 m'ye kadar ulaşabilir. İlkbahar aylarında ürer. Boyları 40-60 cm arası 8-12 yavru doğurur. Normal yetişkin bir erkek 270–300 cm normal yetişkin bir dişi ise 250–270 cm olur, büyüklerde erkek 370–400 cm dişi ise 350–370 cm olur.
