Heteropoda venatoria (Linnaeus, 1767)

アシダカグモ（足高蜘蛛、蠨蛸、学名：Heteropoda venatoria ）は、アシダカグモ科に属するクモの一種。イエグモ、ヌスットコブ＝盗人蜘蛛（熊本県）、ヤツデコブ・ヤッデコッ・ヤツネコブ（鹿児島県）、ヤクブ（沖縄県石垣島）など複数の呼び名が存在する。徘徊性で、網を張らずにゴキブリなどの獲物を待ち伏せ、目の前に来た獲物を捕食する。日本に生息する徘徊性のクモとしては最大種で、人家に棲息する大型のクモとしてよく知られている。家屋内では不快害虫とされる一方、ゴキブリなど家の中の衛生害虫を食べる益虫でもある。
