🦇Common vampire bat
ナミチスイコウモリ（並血吸蝙蝠、学名：Desmodus rotundus）は、ヘラコウモリ科に分類されるコウモリの一種。アメリカ大陸に分布し、3種の「吸血コウモリ」のうちの1種である。主に家畜の血を吸う吸血動物であり、夜間に眠っている獲物に近づき、鋭い歯で皮膚を切り裂いた後、長い舌で血を吸う。一夫多妻制で、雄は雌の群れを守る。コウモリの中でも社会性が高く、グルーミングや食物の分け合いなど、様々な利他的行動を行う。家畜の血を吸い、狂犬病を媒介するため、害獣とされている。分布域が広く、生息地の変化への耐性もあるため、個体数の減少は遅いと考えられており、国際自然保護連合のレッドリストでは低危険種に分類されている。
