Morelia spilota (Lacépède, 1804)

地氈莫瑞蟒（學名：Morelia spilota），俗稱地氈蟒或鑽石蟒，乃澳大利亚蟒科品種之中分佈最廣泛的一種，除維多利亞州以外皆見其踪影。本物種由Bernard Germain de Lacépède於1804年描述。本物種體型算是大，表皮黃色底色，帶有褐色橫紋。體長可長至3米。分佈於澳大利亚、新幾內亞（包括西部屬於印度尼西亚的西巴布亞省及東部巴布亚新几内亚）、俾斯麦群岛及所罗门群岛的北部。本物種尚可再細分為多個亞種，視乎不同文獻或數據庫而定：整合分類學資訊系統（ITIS）錄有6種，the Reptile Database有7種，而國際自然保護聯盟（IUCN）紀錄有8種。 這些亞種在顏色及斑紋有少許分別。
