🐭Brown rat
Brunråtta, eller vandringsråtta, (Rattus norvegicus) är en gnagare i familjen råttdjur som är vanlig i stora delar av världen. Den härstammar förmodligen från Centralasien, men har med hjälp av människan spridit sig till alla kontinenter förutom Antarktis. Brunråttan har även domesticerats och kallas då tamråtta. Selektiv avel av brunråttan ligger bakom de vita råttor som används som försöksdjur vid laboratorier.
