🐢Hermann's tortoise
צב יבשה אירופי או צָב אֵירוֹפִּי (שם מדעי: Testudo hermanni) הוא מין של צב יבשה מהמשפחה צבים יבשתיים המצוי בדרום אירופה. הוא קרוי גם צב הרמן על שם הרופא הצרפתי יוהאן הרמן. הצב בעל שריון קטן בצבע צהוב ומכוסה בלוחיות עם קצוות שחורים מודגשים. במראהו הוא דומה לצב היבשה החי בישראל ומגיע לאורך ממוצע של 28 ס"מ אך משתנה לפי התת-מינים. משקלו מגיע ל-3-4 ק"ג. מבנה השריון דמוי-קערה הפוכה והוא בעל רגליים קצרות היכולות להתכנס בתוכו. הצב הוא אוכל צמחים הניזון מעלים, עשבים, פרחים נמוכים ומזרעים שונים והוא רועה במרבית הזמן בצל בחורש ים תיכוני או בשדות. צבים ממין זה יכולים לחיות מעל 31 שנה, למרות גודלם הקטן אך רבים מהצעירים נטרפים. צב זה מצוי בסיכון קל בטבע עקב פגיעה במקום חיותו לחקלאות ועקב פגיעה מכלי רכב. סיכונים נוספים הם הדברה הפוגעת במזונו. בעבר הוא ניצוד לבשרו אך כיום הציד פחת בהרבה.
