מלכילון אורנים (שם מדעי: Regulus regulus) הוא מין זעיר של ציפור שיר מהסוג מלכילון במשפחת הסבכיים. ציציתו הזהובה נתנה לו את שמו האנגלי (Goldcrest = זהוב ציצית) והוא נחשב למלך העופות בפולקלור האירופאי. הוגדרו לו מספר רב של תת-מינים לאורך תחום תפוצה רחב ביותר, הכולל את אירואסיה, האיים הקנריים ואיי מיקרונסיה. באיים הקנריים ישנם שני תת-מינים, אך אחד מהם הוגדר לאחרונה[דרושה הבהרה] כתת-מין של מלכילון אחר, ששמו המדעי Regulus teneriffae. מלכילונים נודדים מאזורי הרבייה שלהם בצפון ובמזרח לאזורי חורף שנמצאים באזורים דרומיים יותר. ניזון מחרקים וחי ביערות אורנים, גינות וחורשות. בארץ הוא חורף נדיר יחסית, ונצפה בדרך כלל בהר הרצל בירושלים ויער ביריה ליד צפת. תחום תפוצתו התרחב לארץ ישראל רק לאחרונה. ניזון מפרוקי-רגליים, קפזנביים, כנימות עלה ועכבישים. תחום תפוצתו נרחב ביותר כפי שהוזכר להלן, ומתמשך אזורים רבים ושונים באירואסיה, הכוללים את יפן, סחלין, סיביר, מרוקו, ירדן, ישראל, איסלנד, סין ונורווגיה.
