🐺Falkland Islands wolf
שועל פוקלנדי, שועל מאלוויני או וארה (שם מדעי: Dusicyon australis) הוא מין נכחד של טורף ממשפחת הכלביים מהסוג שועל זאבי. השועל הפוקלנדי היה נפוץ באיי פוקלנד ונכחד בשנת 1876. השועל הפוקלנדי נתגלה על ידי צ'ארלס דרווין בשנת 1833. פרוותו הייתה בצבע חום-צהוב וקצה זנבו לבן. נראה שניזון מעופות ופרוקי רגליים. המתיישבים הלבנים באי חששו שהשועלים יפגעו בעדרי הכבשים שגידלו ועל כן היו מרעילים אותם או יורים בהם. בהיעדר יערות באיים, נכחד השועל הפוקלנדי שהיה היונק היחיד שגדל באותה עת באיים.
