דירופילריאזיס היא מחלה טפילית הנגרמת על ידי נוכחות של תולעים בסוג Dirofilaria בגוף. תולעת הלב הוא כינויה של התולעת Dirofilaria immitis הפוגעת בעיקר בכלביים אך גם בבעלי חיים נוספים. התולעת מועברת על ידי חרקים וגורמת למחלה קשה בבעלי החיים הנגועים. זוהי מחלה נפוצה למדי ברוב העולם אך במדינת ישראל היא נדירה וזוהו בה רק מקרים ספורים.
