🦭Crabeater seal
לובודון הסרטנים (שם מדעי: Lobodon carcinophagus) הוא מין יחיד בסוג לובודון ששייך למשפחת כלבי הים. זהו כלב ים לבן ובינוני שחי בדרום האוקיינוסים ובאנטארקטיקה ונודד בחורף לאקלימים רגועים יותר בקצוות של דרום אמריקה, ניו זילנד, אוסטרליה ודרום אפריקה, אך הוא לא ינסה לשחות במים שעמוקים מ-600 מ'. האוכלוסיות שלו הן גדולות יותר משל כל כלב ים אחר באנטארקטיקה. לובודון הסרטנים אוכל בעיקר סרטני קריל (סרטנים מעשירי רגל כלל לא נמצאים באנטארקטיקה), ומכאן שמו. פיו בנוי משיניים מסננות הבנויות ללכידת הקריל. אורך: עד 230 ס"מ. משקל: עד 300 ק"ג. מזון: 90% מתזונתו הוא קריל אנטארקטי. לעיתים נדירות הוא אוכל גם דיונונים ודגים אנטארקטיים. אויבים: ללובודון יש רק 2 טורפים טבעיים: כלב ים נמרי ואורקה. עם זאת זהו כלב ים מהיר, חכם ונשכני והם לא ינסו לתפוס אותו אם יש עוד מיני טרף באזור.
