עלה כבשה (שם מדעי: Costasiella kuroshimae) הוא מין של חשופית ימית מקבוצת העלעליות. בעלי חיים אלה מסוגלים לבצע פוטוסינתזה באמצעות כלורופלסטים מאצות שבלעו. עלי הכבשה נתגלו לראשונה בשנת 1993 לחוף יפן ולאחר מכן גם לחופי הפיליפינים ואינדונזיה, באקלים טרופי. לעלה הכבשה שתי עיניים כהות ושני מחושים דמויי אלה מעל לראש החשים בכימיקלים מסוימים. הם מזכירים בצורתם אוזני כבשה או מחושי חרקים. אורכם 5–10 מ"מ. לאורך גוף החיה נראים גופים דמויי קרניים המסודרים בשורות. יש בהם בלוטות שבהן אנזימים מעכלים והם משתתפים בהשגת מזון ובעיכולו. הם מסייעים גם בהגנה ובנשימה. עלה הכבשה מסוגל לספוג כלורופלסטים מאצות מסוימות מהן הוא ניזון ובעזרתם הוא מבצע פוטוסינתזה במשך זמן קצר. גם כשאינם מבצעים פוטוסינתזה, יכולים כלורופלסטים אלה לשמש כמאגר של חומרי מזון בעיתות רעב.
