אריה ים קליפורני (שם מדעי: Zalophus californianus, קרוי גם כפיר ים קליפורני) הוא מין של אריה ים השכיח באזורי החוף של האוקיינוס השקט הצפוני. המין שכיח יחסית ועל פי מדידות אשר נערכו ב-1995 קיימים כ-190,000 פרטים. אריות הים הקליפורניים נחשבים לבעלי אינטליגנציה גבוהה יחסית ויכולת הסתגלות גבוהה לשינויים בסביבתם ועל כן ניתן לאמנם ולבייתם בקלות. כתוצאה מכך, נפוץ השימוש בהם בקרקסים, בגני חיות ואפילו לצרכים צבאיים. אריה ים זה ניזון מדגים,סילוניות וסרטנאים. הם מסוגלים לצלול לעומק של 274 מטרים.
