🦭Bearded Seal
כלב ים מזוקן (שם מדעי: Erignathus barbatus) הוא מין של כלב ים בינוני והיחיד בסוג Erignathus, המצוי באזור האוקיינוס הארקטי. לכלב ים זה שפם גדול ועשיר המגיע עד ללסת התחתונה ומשווה לה צורת זקן, מה שנתן לו את שמו. הם ניזונים ממבחר יצורים החיים על קרקעית האוקיינוס, כמו דיונונים, צדפות ודגים והשפם שלהם עוזר להם לגשש אחרי הטרף. הבוגרים נוטים שלא לצלול לעומק של יותר מ-300 מ', אך הצעירים יכולים לצלול עד עומק 450 מ', לאזורים הרבה יותר עמוקים. הם עצמם נטרפים על ידי דובי הקוטב, אורקה ולעיתים נדירות גם ניבתנים יטרפו גורים. הם גם ניצודים על ידי שבטי האינואיטים של החופים הארקטיים, אשר צדים את כלבי הים גם בשביל שומנם ועורם הקשה, ממנו הם מייצרים נעליים, שוטים, רתמות לכלבי השלג ולבניית סירות, סירת Umiak ובקיץ גם אוהלים. יש לכלב ים זה שני תת-מינים, אך הם אינם נתמכים על ידי נתונים מולקולריים ויש מדענים המערערים על קיומם: Erignathus barbatus barbatus Erignathus barbatus nautica
