🐒Lesula
Cercopithecus lomamiensis on vanhan maailman häntäapinoihin kuuluva kädellislaji, joka löydettiin Kongon demokraattisesta tasavallasta Lomamin jokialueelta. Paikalliset asukkaat käyttävät lajista nimitystä lesula. Tutkijat löysivät lajin vuonna 2007 ja sen olemassaolo vahvistettiin Plos One -nimisessä tieteellisessä julkaisussa vuonna 2012. Laji on toinen vuoden 1984 jälkeen löydetty uusi afrikkalainen apinalaji. Cercopithecus lomamiensis -marakattilaji elää Kongon demokraattisen tasavallan sademetsissä. Vuonna 2007 löytyi kuitenkin vankeudessa elävä yksilö Opalan kylästä. Sittemmin lajia on nähty myös luonnossa.selvennä Lajin elinalue sijaitsee Lomami- ja Tshuapa-jokien välissä maan keskiosissa. Cercopithecus lomamiensis on vaarantunut metsästyksen vuoksi. Sen suojeleminen voi olla hankalaa, sillä suppealla alueella elävä laji voi muuttua vaarantuneesta uhanalaiseksi muutamassa vuodessa. Antropologi Kate Detweilerin mukaan oli onni, että apina löydettiin kun se vielä voidaan pelastaa. Lajin suojelemiseksi on ehdotettu perustettavaksi uusi Lomanin kansallispuisto.
