🐬Hector's dolphin
Uudenseelannindelfiini (Cephalorhynchus hectori) on yksi neljästä kirjodelfiineihin kuuluvasta delfiinistä. Sen populaatio on pienentynyt alle puoleen kolmen sukupolven aikana, joten se luokitellaan uhanalaiseksi. Uudenseelannindelfiinin vartalo on lyhyt, pullukka, torpedomainen. Kyljet ja selkä ovat vaaleanharmaat, sivussa on tummempi raita, vatsapuoli on valkoinen. Pyrstö, rintaevät ja ominaislaatuisen pyöreämuotoinen selkäevä ovat mustat. Uudenseelannindelfiinin pituus on 1,2–1,6 metriä ja paino 40–60 kiloa. Uudenseelannindelfiiniä tavataan vain Uuden-Seelannin Eteläsaaren ympäristössä. Sen alalajia, mauindelfiiniä (Cephalorhynchus hectori maui), tavataan vain pienellä alueella Pohjoissaaren länsirannikolla. Pohjoissaaren populaatio on geneettisesti eristyksissä muista populaatioista, ja se on luokiteltu omaksi alalajikseen. Näin pientä levinneisyysaluetta ei ole millään muulla valaslajilla.
