🐃Dromedary
Dromedaari (Camelus dromedarius) on kamelien sukuun kuuluva suurikokoinen sorkkaeläin. Sitä kutsutaan myös yksikyttyräiseksi kameliksi. Luultavasti Arabian niemimaalta lähtöisin oleva dromedaari on kesytetty tuhansia vuosia sitten, ja on sittemmin levinnyt laajalle ratsueläimenä ja kuormajuhtana. Nykyään kesyjä dromedaareja elää noin 13 miljoonaa yksilöä. Ainoat villit dromedaarit elävät nykyisin Australian keskiosien kuivassa Outbackissa, jossa maahan 1800-luvun lopulla tuodut eläimet ovat villiintyneet ja muodostavat nykyään noin miljoonan yksilön populaation.

SDZWA body-measurements table: "Shoulder Height: 180-200 cm (5.9-6.6 ft)", attributed to Franklin (2011) = HMW-2 Camelidae chapter. ADW agrees and sexes it: "Male dromedaries ... are about 10 cm taller at shoulder height, measuring 1.8-2.0 m" -- so 1.8-2.0 m likely describes males/large adults; the fact-sheet row itself is unsexed. Midpoint of the range.
