🐾Common genet
Genetti eli kintsi (Genetta genetta) on ainoa Euroopassa tavattava sivettikissa. Lajin paino vaihtelee 1,2–2,3 kg:n ja pituus 40–55 cm:n välillä. Häntä on vartalon mittainen. Genetti on levinnyt Saharan pohjoispuoliselle alueelle, Arabian ja Pyreneitten niemimaille ja Ranskaan. Lisäksi sitä tavataan muutamilla Välimeren saarilla ja nykyisin myös Luoteis-Italiassa, Belgiassa, Sveitsissä ja Saksassa. Afrikan puolella genettejä tavataan kaikissa muissa elinympäristöissä paitsi autiomaissa. Espanjassa genetin levinneisyys käsittää jopa korkeat vuoristoalueet. Genettien sukuun kuuluu kymmenkunta muuta lajia, jotka esiintyvät eritoten Afrikassa. Myös ”eurooppalaisen genetin” alalajeja tavataan Afrikassa. Ibizalla tavattava genetin alalaji (G. genetta isabelae, nyk. G. g. genetta) on uhanalainen ja kuuluu kansainvälisen luonnonsuojeluliiton (IUCN) punaiseen kirjaan.
