🐾Chinese pangolin
Kiinanmuurahaiskäpy (Manis pentadactyla) on yksi kahdeksasta muurahaiskäpyjen lahkon nisäkäslajista. Se esiintyy metsäalueilla Himalajan seudulla, Burmassa, pohjoisessa Indokiinassa sekä Etelä-Kiinassa subtrooppisilla ja kesävihannilla alueilla. Täysikasvuinen kiinanmuurahaiskäpy on häntineen 65–95 sentin pituinen ja painaa 2–7 kiloa. Se synnyttää yleensä yhden poikasen kerrallaan. Kiinanmuurahaiskäpy on hidasliikkeinen ja liikkuu öisin. Kiinanmuurahaiskäpy on äärimmäisen uhanalainen. Suoranainen uhka on salametsästys, joka liittyy lajin käyttöön sekä ravintona että perinteisessä lääketieteessä.
