Chironex fleckeri Southcott, 1956

Australiankuutiomeduusa, meriampiainen tai ampiaismeduusa (Chironex fleckeri) on keskikokoinen kuutiomeduusalaji (Cubozoa). Se on hyvin myrkyllinen ja sen myrkky voi tappaa ihmisenkin muutamassa minuutissa, jos tämä sotkeutuu sen lonkeroihin. Australiankuutiomeduusoja elää Intian valtameressä ja Tyynessämeressä, erityisesti Australian pohjoisrannikolla. Niiden uimakellot voivat olla halkaisijaltaan jopa 30-senttisiä ja polttiaislonkerot jopa kolmen metrin pituisia. Ne ovat läpinäkyviä ja siksi niitä on hankala erottaa.
