🐟Bowmouth guitarfish

Rhina ancylostoma Bloch & Schneider, 1801

Helmilapiorausku (Rhina ancylostoma) on äärimmäisen uhanalainen rauskulaji, jota esiintyy Intian valtameren ja läntisen Tyynenmeren trooppisilla rannikkovesillä. Aikuinen kala on 150–180 cm pitkä, ja suurimmillaan se voi kasvaa kolmemetriseksi. Sen kuono on leveä ja pyöreämuotoinen. Selkä- ja pyrstöevät ovat korkeat. Silmien päällä ja selässä on piikkejä. Väriltään helmilapiorausku on selästä harmaa tai ruskea, vatsapuoleltaan valkoinen. Evissä on valkoisia pilkkuja, päässä ja hartioilla mustia pilkkuja. Helmilapiorauskuja elää lähellä rannikkoa ja koralliriuttoja 3–90 metrin syvyydessä. Sitä pyydystetään verkoilla ja trooleilla, joskus pitkälläsiimalla. Kalasta syödään vain sen selkäevä. Helmilapiorauskun sukupolven pituudeksi on arvioitu 15 vuotta. Laji on uhanalainen ylikalastuksen takia.
