🐭European water vole
Vesimyyrä (Arvicola amphibius, aiemmin Arvicola terrestris, suom. aiemmin suurempi ojamyyrä) on Keski- ja Pohjois-Euroopassa ja Luoteis-Aasiassa esiintyvä jyrsijälaji. Sen levinneisyys ulottuu idässä Venäjän Lenajokeen ja Himalajalle asti. Se on suurikokoinen myyrälaji, ja yleisväritykseltään tumma. Vesimyyrät elävät tavallisesti vesistöjen lähistöllä ja käyttävät ravinnokseen pääasiassa kasveja ja niiden osia. Vesimyyrä voi synnyttää vuodessa useita poikueita, sukukypsyyden laji saavuttaa kahdessa kuukaudessa.
