Der Blauhai (Carcharhinus glaucus, Synonym: Prionace glauca) gehört innerhalb der Haie (Selachii) zur Familie der Requiemhaie (Carcharhinidae). Neben dem Weißspitzen-Hochseehai (Carcharhinus longimanus) und dem Seidenhai (Carcharhinus falciformis) gehört er zu den drei häufigsten Hochseehaiarten.
